09 OUTLAW DRAGS

The final meeting of the season was a good one.

Kiwidragracing.com acknowledges the great work by the Waikato Drag Racing Club with help from Fram Autolite Dragway to put on a great days racing.

A many number of racers ran personal bests on the day which can be attributed to the great track preparation and possibly some racers ditching some of their ballast they had been carrying during the regular season to see how fast they can actually go.

That’s the beauty about an event like this were you can forget about the "cat and mouse" games played during the NZDRA Points Series and just go fast as many did!

Some very notable performances at the pointy end of the field came from the Marsh Team in the SB Ford powered Metalman dragster running 6.79 which is believed to be another world best time.

Also Wayne Hussey running NZ’s first 6 second pass for a Nitrous powered vehicle in any category was a highlight to conclude a meeting on! Check out his 6.84 @ 198 mph video near the bottom of this page.

We are already looking to this time next year. Roll on 4th of April for Outlaw 2010!
