A hot, sticky day and track greeted a good turn out of vehicles getting in some practice before the opening meeting the following day, with a good number of teams already bettering their PB's from last season.
SUNDAY, 9th DECEMBER 07 - OPENING MEETING, FRAM AUTOLITE DRAGWAY
Day's Racing: Rained Out
Persistant rain called proceedings to an end before any qualifying and racing could get underway at the Fram Autolite Dragway (formerly known as Champion Dragway). Nevertheless, the offical opening of the re-branded track by Fram Autolite representatives and track officials went ahead, followed with a startline fire up by Willie White's nitro funny car and then the day was concluded by a parade of race cars up the track. |
